DIY Blocks for Maternity Pictures

When we decided that we wanted to have maternity pictures taken I knew right away what kind of props I wanted to find and use but I just couldnt find what I wanted no matter how hard I looked.

I ordered some blocks on amazon and when they came the colors werent what I wanted and they were pretty small and dinged up so I decided that I was going to make my own blocks! We also ended up getting some magnetic letter train pieces that Justin really liked for a picture and worked on those too. Here is what I did:

Materials:

Small wooden blocks- I got mine at Michaels for $0.79 each!

Wood paint in the color of your choice- I used spray wood paint.

Stickers with the letters of the blocks that you want- I just got a set that had the whole alphabet.

So, as you can see on my side bar I made a blog button!!! I am really excited about this because I had no idea that I was capable of making one. I messed up 20 times first and spent like 2 hours trying to do it but finally it worked!

Welcome to the new blog!

Welcome! Im am so excited to be starting THIS blog. This begins our new life as a family. This is the next phase and I want to remember all of it.

I wanted a place where I could post pictures, stories, etc so that friends and family can stay updated and enjoy it all as much as we do.

As of today I am 32 weeks and 5 days pregnant. We are expecting a little BOY! His official due date is August 19th 2011 although we hope to meet him before that because he and I are both measuring ahead. His name is going to be Foster.
